Introduction to Nonviolence

As our Certificate Level courses for our 2022-2023 will engage in-depth with basic concepts related to principled nonviolence, it is essential to have a common starting point as a learning community. As a self-study offering, learners should:

• Complete the short course, Nonviolence for Beginners on our online learning platform;

• Complete the short course, Person Power, Constructive Program, and Satyagraha on our learning platform;

• Watch the Third Harmony film;

• Additionally, Certificate Program candidates should Read or listen to: The Search for a Nonviolent Future by Michael Nagler; and write a personal essay describing in-depth key ideas in the talks and readings being sure to describe the Roadmap model and how it works.

The Introduction to Nonviolence course, if completed successfully, will count as 1-Credit for the Certificate Program.
