Students for a Free Tibet (SFT (studentsforafreetibet.org)

We work in solidarity with the Tibetan people in their struggle for freedom and independence. We are a chapter-based network of young people and activists around the world. Through education, grassroots organizing, and nonviolent direct action, we campaign for Tibetans’ fundamental right to political freedom.

International Campaign for Tibet (savetibet.org)

The International Campaign for Tibet (ICT) works to promote self-determination, human rights, and democratic freedoms for the Tibetan people, and negotiations between the 14th Dalai Lama and the People's Republic of China. The three main departments of ICT are devoted to reporting and communications, advocacy, and Chinese outreach. 

Free Tibet (freetibet.org)

A non profit nongovernmental organization that works to “keep the eyes of the world on the atrocities being committed in Tibet. We share evidence that makes them impossible to deny. We lead campaigns that make them impossible to ignore. And together, we will build a global movement that’s impossible to resist.”

Tibet House US (thus.org)

Tibet House US is dedicated to preserving Tibet’s unique culture at a time when it is confronted with extinction on its own soil. By presenting Tibetan civilization and its profound wisdom, beauty, and special art of freedom to the people of the world, we hope to inspire others to join the effort to protect and save it. Tibet Justice Center (tibetjustice.org)

Tibet Justice Center is an American legal association founded in 1989 that advocates human rights and self-determination for the Tibetan people.

Governmental organization dedicated to restoring freedom for Tibetans.

Karchen Lhatoo is an advocate for human rights, as well as a student of law. He started one of just two Tibetan student associations in Ohio, USA.

China tries to silence Tibetans even in free countries: Activist Chemi Lhamo (The Tibet Post, 5/26/22)

This article describes a presentation given by activist Chemi Lhama, including some of the ways China attempts to silence Tibetans in exile. Activist Chemi Lhama calls for resistance, remembering the stories and for the public and individuals to break UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Michelle Bachelet's silence on Tibet.

Possible Opportunities for Collaboration

Tibetan Writers Abroad (pen-International.org)

Tibetan Writers Abroad PEN was established in 1999 in Dharamsala and currently has 68 members, mostly based in India but also spread across Europe and the US. Writers in Tibet are also affiliated with the Centre. As a Centre in exile, their priority is to preserve the written and spoken Tibetan language.
