This episode of Nonviolence Radio brings Carol Flinders — scholar, author, biographer, feminist and nonviolence advocate — to talk with Stephanie Van Hook about her work. For over 30 years, Flinders has been exploring and documenting the lives of women, religious and secular, far back in history and today. Their conversation takes the life and ideas of feminist activist Barbara Deming (1917-1984) as its starting point, and from there moves on to look at issues ranging from patriarchy and sexual orientation, to effective strategies of nonviolence, to what it means to be a complete and whole human being.  Listen to the interview here or find us on Waging Nonviolence, iTunes, Spotify, and Stitcher.
